I have lived in Adelaide my whole life, and after a brief stint in marine biology, I was lucky enough to be accepted into one of the first years to complete the veterinary medicine course at Adelaide University. Being a vet had been my dream since I was a young child. I grew up caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, fish, hermit crabs and even a yabby named Dave who liked a back scratch with a tooth brush! I developed a love for all creatures great and small. This passion continued into my studies where I got in involved in as many wildlife/exotic species experiences as possible, allowing me to work with some incredible species.
I am interested in all aspects of companion animal practice, but find internal medicine and behavioral medicine particularly interesting. I love working with dedicated pet owners to help them provide the best of care for their furry friends. One of my favourite things to do is hand a pet back to their owner after a stay with us for treatment or a quick routine procedure and watch the pure joy radiate from both pet and owner after being reunited.
In my spare time I like to get outdoors, jump in the ocean, read a good book or plan my next travel adventure. I am owned by an elderly rescue cat with an attitude problem named Gertie, and an energetic German Shorthaired Pointer that keeps me on my toes named Moose.
I look forward to meeting you and your pets soon!
