Black Forest Veterinary Surgery is now a fully accredited animal hospital. We are now called the Wayville Animal Hospital to reflect this change.
Ater 20 years; our lease at our Black Forest premises was unable to be renewed. We decided to make the most of the situation and made the decision to improve our facilities at our new location in Goodwood. We have upgraded our facilities and standards of care and have recently obtained hospital accreditation meaning we are now a Animal Hospital and no longer a veterinary surgery. We are 1 of 16 vet hospitals in South Australia to obtain this accreditation. Our team is very proud.
We have tried to keep the beauty of the old heritage building. Here's our waiting room.
We have built modern, state of the art facilities including a cat ward. Cats will no longer be bothered by the smell or sound of our canine friends. We know this change will allow them to feel more comfortable during their stay with us.
Our new Wayville premises will be able to give you and your pets the new and improved facilities we know you deserve.
We have recently obtained accreditation as an ISFM SILVER Cat Friendly Clinic from the International Society of Feline Medicine, the veterinary division of the charity International Cat Care. Our Wayville Animal Hospital's Cat Friendly Clinic programme is designed to help address these issues by creating more cat friendly veterinary clinics and so reducing the stress for the cat, and making veterinary visits easier for cat owners as well.
Our fantastic Black Forest Veterinary team are really looking forward to taking care of you and your pet at our new location.
You are a valued client of ours and we appreciate your ongoing support and loyalty.
Don't worry, we moved just down the road, a 6 minute car ride or a 12 minute bike ride, right opposite the showgrounds.
Our dedicated parking is accessed via the shopping center carpark from either Goodwood Rd or Young Street.
The Wayville Animal Hospital will be a fully equipped practice which caters for all levels of surgery and medical care. Providing everything that you will need to maximise your relationship with your puppy or kitten, dog, cat or rabbit. From their first vaccination through their desexing procedures (spay / spey /castrate / neuter) into their adult years ( including dental care – looking after dog teeth, cat teeth and rabbit teeth) to their old age (senior pet and geriatric) care and of course we are fully equipped to deal any dramas that may befall you along the way with digital xray, on site laboratory and full medical and surgical capabilities. On our path to being a pain free practice, along with conventional pain medications, Wayville Vets also offer Animal Acupuncture (Dog Acupuncture, Cat Acupuncture, Rabbit Acupuncture), Trigger Point Therapy and Canine Myofunctional Therapy ( Dog Massage). Dog Vaccinations and Cat Vaccinations at Wayville Vets are just the beginning of the veterinary and pet care services we provide. Our goal is to enhance your relationship with your pet throughout all life stages.
Thank you for choosing us and for giving us the privilege of working with you and your pets.
